What Woolwich Means To Me, 2019-2021
2 December from 5.30pm
At Greenwich Libraries Woolwich Centre Library,
35 Wellington Street, London SE18 6HQ
“The community-created tapestry, reflecting being in Woolwich, started life as a project in 2018 with the idea to create a space where people can explore what Woolwich means to them through creative art and showing how different cultures create a community. A series of open workshops led by Caroline Hands were held in 2018 and 2019 at Woolwich Centre Library working with the community, local groups and organisations.”
With thanks to Woolwich Library, GreatArt, Hoxton, Kelly Anne who introduced me to the library and the magical Bathway, drama department of Greenwich University who helped me so much with their kindness, support from Royal Borough of Greenwich who believed in and supported the project AND of course the wonderful people of Woolwich that made it happen!
